Lucky kids in Northern NSW have been having a ball thanks to local ALDI MiniRoos Development Officer Tom Oldaker.

NSW Football’s Tom has been taking our ALDI MiniRoos Chipping Challenge out and about to encourage kids to practice their skills.

Recently he attended Kahibah FC’s annual Gala Day, which was set up to to raise money for local charity ‘Charlies Run 4 Kids

Around 320 children from 20 clubs across Newcastle, Macquarie and Hunter Valley Football took part in the event.

Tom also took the Chipping Challenge to regional Northern NSW for a match day visit to Tinonee Soccer Club.

Tinonee SC is a relatively small club with around 60 registered ALDI MiniRoos players.

Tom said: “Tinonee Soccer Club are a great community club. They do a lot of work to provide the best possible opportunities for their players as well as coaches, game leaders, parents and volunteers.’’

Tinonee SC have held a number of courses, including an ALDI MiniRoos Certificate course and Game Leader Course for their club members, and they plan to run an ALDI MiniRoos Kick Off program for 4-9-year old’s during the off season to ensure children have the opportunity to continue to play football all season round.
