AIA Vitality MiniRoos players from local club Pagewood Botany FC were on hand to help with the launch of the Hyundai A-League Summer of Football campaign at Maroubra Beach. The campaign promotes the festive period of the season during Christmas where 10 matches will be played over 11 days.
AIA Vitality MiniRoos kids played beach football, posed for a number of pictures with A-League players and have their jerseys signed as part of the fun. In attendance were Tim Cahill (Melbourne City), Robert Cornthwaite (Western Sydney Wanderers), Storm Roux (Central Coast Mariners), Filip Holosko (Sydney FC) and Steven Ugarkovic (Newcastle Jets).
Pagewood Botany FC are one of the biggest clubs in the Eastern Suburbs Football Association of Sydney.
Ellie Stewart, who plays in their U10’s team, said “The photos with the players were my favourite part of the day. It was great to meet all the A-League players and especially Tim Cahill. I’m already looking forward to next season!”
Dea Parker, Secretary of Pagewood Botany FC, added “We’d like to thank FFA for giving Pagewood Botany FC the chance for our MiniRoos players the opportunity to meet their heroes”.
This is another great benefit of being part of club and playing MiniRoos football like Pagewood Botany FC.
