FNNSW girls

Newcastle Jets stars were on hand to ensure girls finishing the latest AIA Vitality MiniRoos Girls program had a day to remember when they picked up their "Congratulation Certificates".

Over 300 participants at For Girls centres across Northern NSW Football completed the latest ten week program. 

Newcastle Jets Westfield W-League players Megan Oyster and Katelyn Rowland and Newcastle Jets Hyundai A-League players Devante Clut and Ivan Vujica watched on as the girls enjoyed a fun packed final session before handing out certificates and signing autographs at FNNSW Wallsend centre.

The Westfield W-League players were also on hand at the Cooks Hill, Maitland, Garden Suburb and Speers Point centres to cheer on the youngsters.

AIA Vitality MiniRoos Girls program provides young girls with an opportunity to sample football for the first time in the company of their friends. Boys do not attend the sessions.

Nyssa Suchanow, ‎Female Participation Officer, said: "We have run a number of girls programs in recent years and they are really popular.

"Girls come along with their friends and have fun in an enviroment that lets them flourish while parents are happy to see their children being active with a smile on their face."
