Over 200 parents and children flocked to the inaugural Victorian ALDI MiniRoos Day – an initiative aimed at creating more coaches to help boost kids’ enjoyment of football.
Despite the bad weather the adults secured their ALDI MiniRoos Certificate after going through a session with Football Federation Victoria’s coaching team.
And having picked up the qualification, which gives them the knowledge required to run ALDI MiniRoos sessions, the grown-ups were immediately put to the test at the State Football Centre.
The newly qualified parents each took a group of eager children through an ALDI MiniRoos Kick-Off program so they could put their skills into practice.
The concept has been developed by the FFV to give adults immediate hands on experience and they thrived when putting on the children’s sessions.
